Guillaume Hautbergue

Guillaume is currently a Professor of Translational RNA Biology at SITraN in the University of Sheffield. His research has focused on RNA biology and gene expression for the past 25 years, harnessing this knowledge for the development of novel therapeutic strategies for neuroprotection. In 2019, he was elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology (FRSB) in recognition of his contributions to the advancement of the Biological Sciences. Guillaume has achieved great success at every stage of his career having received the First National Prize in Biochemistry for France and French Overseas Countries in the competitive examination "Concours Général" that runs in parallel to the French Baccalauréat (“A levels”). Prior to his move to the Sheffield, Guillaume trained at "Ecole Normale Supérieure" and "Commissariat à l'Energie Atomique” in Paris.
